Here is a must see video for any pet owners explaining what a hot spot actually is and why they can get worse and need attention before they will actually get better. I love how detailed it is on each step in the process of actually locating and treating a hot spot. Hot spots can be the result of all sorts of factors, like allergies, injuries and sometimes just plain old neglect on hygiene.
